Wesleyan Picked Fourth in Southern Division
PRINCETON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan baseball team is projected to finish fourth in the Southern Division by vote of the league's coaches.
The Bobcats return six regular starters from last season's 26-19 team. Leading the returners is senior infielder Gene Franks who lead the team in every statistical category offensively. The WVWC pitching staff will look to reload after losing 24 of its 26 wins from 2011 to graduation.
West Virginia State is picked to win the South, followed by Concord and Davis & Elkins. The Senators are the favorite to claim the conference tournament crown. Seton Hill has been voted as the favorite to win the North division.
The Bobcats open 2012 against C.W. Post on February 24 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Read the full release by clicking here.
