Buckhannon, W.Va. --  The Bobcat baseball and softball teams were back in action Sunday afternoon at Cebe Ross and Culpepper Fields.  Both teams went 2-0 on the day; baseball avenging two losses to the Falcons yesterday, 2-1 in nine innings and 6-3, respectively.  Softball continued to power through their victims beating the Hilltoppers of West Liberty 11-0 and 7-4.

Just like yesterday, the Bobcats and Falcons needed nine innings to finish their game one battle, this time however Wesleyan's James Fraser would be the hero with a game winning single in the bottom of the 9th inning. Zach Oliver would pick up the win going all nine innings for the' Cats striking out five and only giving up one free pass.

The Falcons would strike first in the second contest tallying three runs in the top of the 3rd but the Bobcats would not wait too long crossing six batters across the plate in the bottom of the 4th.  That is all the scoring either team would accomplish.  Center fielder, John Koon, would add two hits in the game while both teams each accounted for one costly error.  Daniel Powell would get the win and James Gainer would earn the two inning save.  With the wing the Bobcats improve to 7-13 overall and 4-13 in the conference.

With both wins the softball team completes a 4-0 weekend improving to 26-6, 11-1 in the MEC and will be back in action Wednesday as they travel to Fairmont State in a MEC make-up double-header.
