Bobcats Fall in 10 Innings to Seton Hill, 9-6

WINTER HAVEN (Fla.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats dropped an extra-inning affair to the Seton Hill Griffins here Sunday on day two of their spring break tour.

The 'Cats lost a 9-6 decision in 10 innings.

Seton Hill scored a run in the top of the first, but Wesleyan countered with two of their own in the bottom of the first on a two-run single by Tre Kerns.

Seton Hill picked up runs in the second, third and sixth innings to take a 4-2 lead and then pushed across two runs in the top of eighth for a 6-2 lead.

Wesleyan though wouldn't lay down for the Griffins as they rallied to score four runs in the bottom of the ninth to deadlock the game at 6-6.

Michael Logsdon had the big hit in the inning with a two-run double.

The game though got away from the 'Cats in the top of the 10th as Seton Hill chased across three runs in the inning

Wesleyan had 12 hits in the setback with Logsdon, Corey Lynn and Kerns each getting two apiece.

Kerns suffered the loss on the mound for Wesleyan as he pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief.

Wesleyan (1-2) will return to action Monday as they play Wheeling Jesuit in a non-conference doubleheader.

They will meet Seton Hill again on Tuesday in a rematch.
