BRIDGEPORT -- Concord's Jordan Clark is the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, while West Virginia Wesleyan reliever Chris Metrick is the league's Pitcher of the Week.
Clark, a sophomore from Winfield, W.Va., earns the honor for the second-straight week after a strong offensive performance in a four-game series against West Virginia Wesleyan. Clark went 10-for-13 in the four games (.769) and scored nine times while driving in 11. He had three doubles to go with a triple and his first career grand slam. He was also walked four times and was hit by a pitch. He finished the week slugging 1.385.
Metrick, a junior from Beckley, W.Va., made four appearances in relief last week going 2-0 with a save. He pitched three innings in relief to earn the victory over Charleston on Monday, then pitched the final inning against Concord to get the save on Friday. He helped the Bobcats split the series with the Mountain Lions by earning the win after pitching the final two innings. For the week he struck out eight in 7.1 innings and gave up just two earned runs.

Coby Eckstein (WLU) finished the week .444 with an .833 slugging percentage. He hit two homeruns and knocked in five RBI for the Hilltoppers...Eric Forbrick (WVWC) hit safely in all seven games last week. He was 10-22 (.455) at the plate with four runs scored and nine RBI...Dilon Sunnafrank (WJU) posted a .476 average with three doubles, one triple, two RBI's and two runs scored in six games for the Cardinals...Isac Franklin (UU) hit .455 with four multi-hit games last week...Jacob Carney batted .500 with eight runs scored and three RBI in a 3-3 week for the Rams...Jacob Whitmore (FSU) was 9-19 (.474) at the plate with a triple, homerun, and six RBI in a four-game sweep over Wheeling Jesuit.

Colby Gainer (WVSU) tossed a complete game shutout against UVa-Wise. He surrendered three singles in the win while striking out six...Parker Dyson (WLU) picked up a 3-2 win over Urbana in a four-hit, six-inning outing. He tallied seven strikeouts in the win...Nate Werner (CU) scattered eight hits and two runs while striking out four in a complete-game win over West Virginia Wesleyan...Ryan Pansch (SU) threw six shutout innings against Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday. He surrendered six hits while striking out seven batters...Michael Finch (WJU) threw a five-hit complete game shutout against Shepherd...Adam Guay (UU) held West Liberty to seven hits and two runs over the course of eight innings in a no-decision...Michael Stout (FSU) scattered six hits while striking out four in a complete game win over Notre Dame.
