Bobcat Football Program to Hold Two Prospect Camps

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan football program and new head coach Del Smith will hold two Prospect Camps this summer.

The first camp is slated for Saturday, June 11 and the second one is scheduled for July 9.

Both camps will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cebe Ross Field.

The cost of the camp will be $40 if registration occurs before May 14 and $50 after that date and for walk-ups.

"In this day in age, Prospect Camps are a great way to do in person evaluations of recruits," remarked Smith. "There are a lot of options for student-athletes to pursue. Visiting campus the summer before your senior year proves to us that the interest is mutual."

Athletes will need to bring athletic clothing and cleats and a copy of the camp waiver including insurance information.

Quarterbacks may bring their own football.

Shoulder pads and helmets will not be used.

"This is a great opportunity to establish a relationship early in the recruiting process," concluded Smith.
