Buckhannon – West Virginia Wesleyan running back Michael Anderson made waves across the internet during the MEC Thursday Night Game of the Week against West Liberty University after hurdling over a would be tackler and landing in the end zone.
The run came in the first quarter when the 5-9 senior from Elkridge, Md. broke through the middle and was met by a West Liberty defender at the one yard line. From there, Anderson took matters in his own hands and hurdled the defender, flipping over in the end zone to score the game's first points.
The video, which was being broadcast live on WVMetroNews, first caught the attention of the popular sports website Deadspin in which they tweeted and shared the video to their million plus followers on Twitter and Facebook.
That caught the attention of ESPN's SportsCenter. As a result, they picked Anderson's run for the number five spot on their nightly rendition of Top Ten, a video countdown of the day's best plays across sports.
