In his first full season at the helm of the Bobcat football team, Jackson went 9-2 overall and 6-2 in league play. The Bobcats finished second in the WVIAC and broke numerous school records. Wesleyan’s success was keyed by a trio of All-Americans: senior quarterback Adam Neugebauer, senior wide receiver Jon Meadows and junior defensive end Jonas Celian.
Prior to being named the head coach, Jackson was the Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line coach. Jackson has played a role in the success of defensive lineman Bryan Vukela, Celian, Derell Hand, and Mike Price during his time at WVWC.
Before coming to Buckhannon, Jackson spent one season as the defensive line coach at Illinois State. He coached Doni Phelphs, who is now playing in the Arena Football League.
During the '06-'07 seasons, Jackson was the defensive coordinator at LaSalle University.
Jackson spent two seasons coaching the defensive line at Temple University, where he coached Devin Tyler and Terrance Knighton--both of whom played in the NFL. Jackson spent a year in France as the Head Coach of the Elancourt Templiers, where he coached Willie Robinson who was Elite League Defensive Player of The Year. Prior to his trip overseas, Jackson was the offensive skill coach at Arizona Western College.
Jackson was a two-year letter winner at Eastern Michigan where he was a two-way player at tight end and on the defensive line. He graduated in 2002 and earned his Master's from Valparaiso in 2004.
The Boston, Mass. native and his wife Liz reside in Buckhannon.
