Williams Takes Home Final WVIAC POW Nod

PRINCETON, W.Va. -- Wesleyan senior Kelsey Williams has been named the final WVIAC men's basketball Player of the Week.

Williams led the Bobcats to a 2-1 week with wins over Alderson-Broaddus and Davis & Elkins. Against the Battlers, Williams poured in a team-high 28 points. He also pulled down a team-best eight rebounds and blocked two shots. In the loss at Shepherd, Williams registered 23 points on nine-of-15 shooting in addition to grabbing a game-high nine rebounds. In the win over Davis & Elkins, Williams connected for a game-high 31 points. He picked up game-high accolades with 12 rebounds in addition to two steals. Williams drained the game-winning three-point bucket.

The Sandusky, Ohio native shares the honor with Shepherd's Chad Moore.

Williams and the Bobcats open WVIAC Tournament play on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in Greensburg, Pa. where they face Seton Hill.
