McGrew Leads Nation In Three Rebounding Categories

BUCKHANNON – With the men's basketball season now heading into the home stretch, West Virginia Wesleyan senior forward Tanner McGrew is leading the nation in several NCAA Division II categories.

When the latest NCAA Division II statistical update was revealed today, McGrew was leading the nation in three categories.

He is first in the nation in rebounding with 13.0 rebounds per game, first in the nation in defensive rebounds with 9.39 per game and is leading the nation in total rebounds with 234 on the season.

McGrew is fourth in the nation in double-doubles with 11 and it currently 14th in the nation in offensive rebounds per game averaging 3.61.

McGrew is a native of Buckhannon, W. Va. and played his high school basketball at Buckhannon-Upshur.

The Bobcats are 11-7 on the season.

Their next game will be this Thursday on the road against Notre Dame.
