Bobcats defeated by Dukes

HARRISONBURG,VA — The Bobcats fell behind early and were never quite able to get into striking distance as the Dukes recieved points from all 11 players Wednesday night at the JMU Convocation Center.

After taking out to a 7-0 lead, James Madison continued to keep their foot on the pedal early. The Dukes shot 51.5% (17-of-33) before the half to take a 44-18 lead into the locker room. After the slow start, Wesleyan looked to find more scoring. Fred Brondsted led the charge for the 'Cats ending the game with 17 points (6-of-12) to go along with three steals. Luka Petrovic dished out six assists on the night as well.

James Madison shot 45.6% (31-of-68) during the contest. Freshmen Matt Lewis and Darius Banks proved to be a problem, scoring 14 and 12 points respectively. Dwight Wilson was also a key factor with a game-high seven rebounds.

The Bobcats are back in action Jan. 4th at the Rockefeller Center to take on the Urbana Blue Knights.
