PINEHURST (N.C.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's golf team opened up their spring season in the BrownGolf Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Whispering Pines.
The 'Cats finished 14th out of 14 teams with a two-day total of 688.
After a tough day one where the 'Cats shot a 358, they trimmed that down to a 330 on day two.
The University of Charleston won the team title with a 614 (313-301).
James Snavely was the top Bobcat golfer as he finished in a tie for 36th with a two-day total of 164 (83-81)
John Huggins placed in a tie for 48th for the Bobcats with a 167 (90-77).
Kirby Manown from California (Pa.) bested the other 102 golfers in the tournament with a 146 (74-72).
Wesleyan will return to action in the two-day Oglebay Intercollegiate on April 3.
