INDIANA (Pa.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's golf team remained in 14th place on day two and the final day of the IUP Cecil Spadafora Invitational at the Indiana Country Club Monday afternoon.
After shooting a 322 on Sunday, the Bobcats shot a 323 today for a two-day total of 645.
West Chester, Charleston and West Liberty all tied for first place with a 586, but it was West Liberty who won in a one-hole playoff, 12 strokes to 13 for the team championship.
Rounding out the Bobcat line-up was Ryan Holcomb placing in a tie for 64th with a 162 (79-83), Nick West finishing in a tie for 67th with a 163 (85-78), Cullen Hoone landing in a tie for 76th with a 169 (84-85) and Luke Browne placing 84th with a 212 (109-103).
West Liberty's Mathew Iceton and LeMoyne College's John Clare tied for first with a 139, but Iceton won low medalist honors in a play-off paring the hole while Clare bogeyed the par 3 10th hole.
The Cecil Spadafora Invitational wrapped up play for the men's golf team this spring.
