Bobcat Golfers Take Third at ABU Fall Invitational

PHILIPPI, W. Va.Nicholas Casingal had the lone top 10 finish for the West Virginia Wesleyan men's golf team in the two-day Alderson Broaddus University Fall Invitational at the Bel Meadows Country Club.

Casingal had a two-day total of 157 (77-80) to place finish in a tie for seventh among 36 golfers.

West Virginia State's Jacob Workman won the individual title firing a 148 (71-77).

Wesleyan's Nick West finished in a tie for 13th with a 163 (87-76) and Nathan Baudet-Tredant placed 15th with a 164 (80-84).

Rounding out the Wesleyan roster was Ryan Holcomb and James Snavely both in a tie for 17th place and Jake Borden (pictured) placing 20th.

Holcomb (83-83) and Snavely (84-82) both shot a 166 while Borden fired a 168 (84-84).

As a team, Wesleyan finished third out of five teams with a two-day total of 644 (327-317).

Ohio Valley won the team title with a 623 while Alderson Broaddus was second with a 637.

Rounding out the field were West Virginia State in fourth (651) and Glenville State in fifth (730).

The Bobcats will return to action Monday, Sept. 12 in the two-day Glade Intercollegiate at the Glade Springs Resort.
