BUCKHANNON -- West Virginia Wesleyan officially dedicated the James and Deborah Huber Golf Room on Friday morning. The ceremony was conducted in the Rockefeller Center.
James and Deborah have had a long relationship with Wesleyan, serving as benefactors since 1991. As a Wendy's executive, Huber continues this relationship, and has enhanced the future of the golf program with this gift. He also served as head golf coach from 2015-17.
Several features of the room will provide a tremendous upgrade for the golf program. It includes a putting green, a driving net, and several other amenities to help the payers with their respective game improvement.
This ceremony came on the heels of the dedication of the George Claffey Room last month. The Huber Room is adjacent to the Claffey Room, providing the program their own area that will serve as an indoor practice facility.
"James and Deborah have done so much to provide for the golf program, and for the college as a whole," Wesleyan head golf coach J.D. Lamm said.
