BUCKHANNON – West Virginia Wesleyan head men's soccer coach Gavin Donaldson will hold his annual GD Edge Soccer Camp this summer from Sunday, July 17 to Wednesday, July 20.
The camp is open to boys and girls ages 10-18.
The fee for the camp is $375 and covers lodging in a Wesleyan air-conditioned residence hall, all meals for the week and a camp t-shirt.
For commuters, the fee is $275 and covers lunch, dinner and a camp t-shirt.
Campers must bring a soccer ball to camp or purchase an official camp ball for $40.
Donaldson will oversee the camp with help from his coaching staff, former and current players and Steve Franklin, the Director of Coaching Education at Indiana Soccer Association.
Over the past 30 years, Donaldson's teams have compiled a 350-201-58 record. Donaldson won a national championship at Wesleyan in 1994, has taken his teams to eight national tournaments and he has won 11 WVIAC titles.
He holds his NSCCA Premier (DP) Diploma and received his Master's degree in Physical Education from Indiana University.
"The GD EDGE Soccer Camp continues the dedication for quality instruction and personal player development," remarked Donaldson. "We offer a springboard for continued soccer growth in West Virginia and other areas throughout the United States. High school players will gain the necessary edge to make their fall, club and ODP teams while our younger campers will gain the skills and tactical awareness necessary for future development."
