Soccer Bobcats Take Down Lock Haven (Pa.), 1-0

LOCK HAVEN (Pa.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan soccer Bobcats returned to their winning ways today picking up a 1-0 non-conference road victory over the Lock Haven Bald Eagles.

The victory was the fifth in the last six tries for Wesleyan as they improved their record to 7-6.

The lone goal of the game came from the current Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Week Jens Demul.

It came in the 41st minute as he headed in a cross from Tre' Taliaferro to the far post beating Lock Haven keeper Troy Teresak for the goal.

Wesleyan had seven shots and five on goal while Lock Haven took five shots and put just three on goal.

Wesleyan keeper Alessandro Armenia (pictured) turned away three shots as he posted his third shutout of the year.

The Bobcats had a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Lock Haven fell to 5-7-1 overall.

Wesleyan will return to action this Sunday on the road as they face Notre Dame in a Mountain East Conference contest.

The clash will kick-off at 4 p.m.
