Soccer Bobcats Land 22nd in National Rankings

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team made an appearance this week in the second weekly United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Rankings.

Following a 2-0-1 week, Wesleyan leaped in the No. 22 spot nationally. Last week they didn't receive a single vote.

Wesleyan, under the guidance of veteran head coach Gavin Donaldson, is 3-0-1 on the season.

The University of Charleston tops the poll this week with a 4-0-0 record.

In the USC Atlantic Regional Rankings, Wesleyan is third this week after being ranked sixth last week.

Charleston is first in the regional rankings and Mercyhurst is ranked second. MEC rival Notre Dame is fourth.

Wesleyan will meet that Notre Dame team at home this Thursday at 6 p.m.
