Wesleyan Netters Open With Two Wins in New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- West Virginia Wesleyan opened the spring season with two wins over teams from the East Region during a road trip to New York this past weekend.

The Bobcats (2-0) started with an 8-1 victory at Daeman College on Friday evening in Buffalo, and then followed up with a 9-0 win at Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester Saturday.

Lukas Laipold, Nathan Sabate, Ramon Rodriguez (pictured), Jacobo Rendon, Ferran Berga, and Alexander Lyudinovskiy all went 2-0 in singles as the 'Cats dropped only one set during the weekend.

Next up for the Bobcats is the Charleston Individual Tournament, which will feature four of the top five teams in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Play begins at 1 p.m. on Friday and concludes Saturday evening.
