XC Men Finish Third at Bethany Invitational

Bethany, W.Va. – Despite not having a runner finish in the top 15, the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcat cross country team placed an impressive third in the Bethany Invitational Saturday morning.

The 'Cats finished third out of 16 teams.

Sean Snyder was the top Bobcat runner taking the 20th spot with a time of 27:55.

Marshall Sharp and Brody Born also placed in the top 25 respectively.

Sharp was 21 in 28:04 and Born was 23rd in 28:11.

Rounding out the Bobcats were Stone Bellomy in 28th in 28:43, Eric Wooten in 31st in 28:44, Luke Young 37th in 28:55 and David Lieberman in 42nd in 29:09.

Sawyer Palonder of St. Vincent outpaced 155 other runners to win the race with a time of 26:51.

St. Vincent won the Invitational with 46 points while Grove City was second with 62.

The 'Cats will run again Saturday, Sept. 27 at Lock Haven.
