Wesleyan XC Men's Team Places Fifth at Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN (Pa.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's cross country team ran a strong fifth amongst a loaded field in the 14th annual Lock Haven Invitational here today.

Wesleyan compiled 145 points in the 16-team event.

Lock Haven won their own Invitational with 49 points.

Slippery Rock was second with 71 points.

Matt Dearth ran a strong race for Wesleyan, placing sixth out of over 200 runners with a time of 26:00.19.

Sean Snyder also placed in the top 20 for Wesleyan as he finished 19th with a clocking of 26:17.71.

Marcus Black finished 33rd with a time of 26:33.00.

Rounding out the scoring line-up for Wesleyan was Marshall Sharp in 41st (26:45.54) and Colin Wallace 46th (26:51.64).

John Crowe from Susquehanna won the individual title with a time of 25:34.12

The men will run again Oct. 6 at Glenville State.
