Seven Cross Country Runners Earn All-Academic Honors

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's and women's cross country teams placed seven runners on the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Scholar Athlete All-Academic team for the 2015 season.

Earning the honor for the Bobcats was junior Marcus Black and sophomores Matt Dearth and Sean Snyder.

Claiming the honor for the Lady Bobcats were senior Loren McDaniel, juniors Baylee Summers and Brianna Waybright and freshman Joanna Johnston.

The All-Academic honor is awarded to those athletes who have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 and finished among the top 30 percent of eligible runners at his or her regional championships and/or the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships.
