WVWC 22nd in NFCA Poll

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Bobcat softball team has been voted 22nd in the preseason poll by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
WVWC finished last season 48-8 and 20th in the NFCA poll. The team will be replacing six starters in the field, but return all 48 wins in the circle with Hillary Perez-Ashley (24-2), Kaitlyn Carey (21-6) and Jacqueline Omichinski (3-0).
Wesleyan is the only WVIAC team in the poll and has been voted as the favorite to win the conference title. The Bobcats open the 2012 season at the Johnson C. Smith tournament on February 25.
