Softball Team Ranked Third in Atlantic Region This Week

BUCKHANNON – The second set of NCAA Division II Softball Regional Rankings have been released and West Virginia Wesleyan dropped one spot from second to third in the Atlantic Region.

Wesleyan had a 36-5 regional record and a 39-7 record (prior to yesterday's doubleheader sweep of Glenville State) when the rankings were released.

West Chester is still first in the Atlantic Region with a 37-4 regional mark and a 40-5 overall record.

By virtue of their doubleheader sweep over Wesleyan last Sunday, the University of Charleston moved ahead of Wesleyan to the second spot.

Concord is the other Mountain East Conference team ranked regionally as they landed 10th this week.

Wesleyan will wrap up the regular season this Sunday with a pair of games at Concord.
