Softball Lady 'Cats to Hold Summer Camp June 20-23

BUCKHANNON – West Virginia Wesleyan head softball coach Steve Warner has announced the dates for his annual softball clinics.

The two camps will run two simultaneously for two different age groups from Monday, June 20 to Thursday, 23.

For youngsters ages 7-11, their camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon while for ages 12 and up, their camp will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Both camps will take place at the Culpepper Softball Complex.

The cost of both camp is $90 and includes a t-shirt (pre-registration only).

The camp will include hitting concepts drills, defensive work, base running, bunting and pitching instruction.

Campers are instructed to bring a glove, shorts/t-shirt, sweats, tennis shoes and bat/batting gloves and helmet.

The camp is under the direction of West Virginia Wesleyan head coach Steve Warner, who just completed his 24th season with the Lady Bobcats

Warner has won 21 conference titles in his 24 seasons at the helm of the Lady Bobcat program and has been named conference coach of the year 16 times.

His overall coaching record is 948-339-1.

He will be joined by his staff of assistant coaches Marissa Leslie, Emlyn Knerem and Glenville State College head coach Kristen Tunno.

Early registration is encouraged for both camps as spots will fill up very quickly.
