Pogue Selected as Honorable Mention All-American by CCA

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Virginia Wesleyan softball player Tori Pogue was recently named to the Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association's (CCA) All-American Honorable Mention Team.

The senior outfielder was named the D2CCA All-Atlantic Player of the Year as well as to the All-Atlantic First Team.

Pogue (Glendale, Ariz.) led the Mountain East Conference in hitting with a .424 average collecting 91 hits in 216 official at-bats.

She also led the conference in hits (91), runs scored (71) and stolen bases (28).

Nobody from the Mountain East Conference garnered First, Second or Third Team All-American Honors.

Taylor Brandts from UVa.-Wise and Haleigh Christopher from Charleston joined Pogue on the Honorable Mention List from the Mountain East Conference.

Wesleyan finished the 2017 season with a 51-10 record. They finished third in the nation at the College World Series after winning the MEC regular season and post-season along with the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship.
