Laurie Reed is a native of Canton, Ga. Reed graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelors degree in management and a minor in Sociology.She was a left fielder on the Yellow Jackets softball team. She was part of a team that made multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

After her time at GT Reed worked as a fastpitch instructor at Premier Sport Services and coached a U16 travel softball team.

Reed is pursuing her Masters in Business Administration.
