Swim Teams Complete BMC Meet
CHARLOTTE, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan swim teams concluded competition at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships on Saturday evening.
The men's team came home in ninth place, while the women finished 12th.
The men's 800 Free with Thomas Bartleman, Mark Mattis, Phil Fisher and Jeff Dye established a new school record with a time of 6:58.85. Dye, Max Garner, Bartleman and Mattis also set a new school record in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3.27.81.
Individually, Fisher recorded a NCAA 'B' cut time for the 1000 free at 9:53.13. Dye broke his own school record and recorded a NCAA 'B' cut time in the 200 free with a 1:42.12.Bartleman notched a 'B' cut in the 100 fly with a 50.58. Garner made the All-Conference team with a 2:07.66 in the 200 Breaststroke.
