Lady Bobcat Golfers Take Third at Hollins Spring Invitational

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS – The West Virginia Wesleyan women's golf team placed third of four teams in the one-day 18-hole Hollins University Spring Invitational at the Meadows Golf Course at the Greenbrier.

Bridgewater College was first with a 336 while Marymount (Va.) was second with a 393.

Wesleyan was just one stroke back in third place with a 394.

Hollins University was fourth with a 412.

Katie Casey finished in a tie for third place after firing an 85.

Becca Davis placed in a tie for eighth with an 89.

Rounding out the Wesleyan line-up was Brooklyn Bailey taking 12th (103), Megan Hunter placing 16th (117), Hannah Gurtis finishing 19th (129) and Keenan Moreta placing 20th (132).

Bridgewater College's Christina Herbert was low medalist with a 79.

The Lady Bobcats will return to action this Sunday and Monday in the MEC Spring Invitational at the Edgewood CC.
