WEST LIBERTY – It wasn't the result they were hoping for but the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats did leave their game with West Liberty today with a point after battling the Hilltoppers to a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes of action.
Wesleyan actually trailed for most of the Mountain East Conference game.
West Liberty struck first just five minutes into the game when Nikki Lolua scored from six yards out.
Briella Taylor was credited with the assist.
Wesleyan tied the game in the 79th minute when Natalie Prater (pictured) played a ball into the box and scored.
Kelsey Sitka had the assist on the goal.
Neither team could find the back of the net in two overtime periods.
The tie left West Liberty with a 4-3-3 record overall and a 4-1-3 mark in the Mountain East Conference.
Wesleyan is now 6-0-3 overall and 5-0-3 in the MEC.
Wesleyan will play again this Tuesday when they host Concord in a conference clash at 7 p.m.
