Lady Bobcats Drop a Spot in Latest Regional Rankings

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcat soccer team dropped one spot this week in the latest NSCAA NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional rankings that were released Tuesday.

The Lady Bobcats dropped from fifth to sixth this week.

In Wesleyan's only action last week, the went on the road and tied West Liberty by a 1-1 score.

Their non-conference game last week with California (Pa.) was cancelled due to weather concerns.

The rankings were released prior to their 1-0 win over Concord on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Bobcats currently have a 7-0-3 record overall and a 6-0-3 record in the Mountain East Conference.

East Stroudsburg (Pa.) and West Chester (Pa.) remain first and second in the regional rankings.

MEC teams ranked besides Wesleyan are University of Charleston in fifth and Notre Dame College in seventh.

Wesleyan will play again this Friday on the road against Wheeling Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. in a conference outing.
