Coach Holguin joined the Wesleyan staff in 2010 after spending 12 seasons at Marrietta College. He coached the men's team for 12 years and coached the women for 10. 

Holguin began his coaching career at the University of Houston as their club team coach. 

Last season, Holguin led the Bobcats to their second WVIAC regular season title in his tenure. The team finished with a 10-4-3 overall record and 6-1-2 in conference play. He was instrumental in the recruiting of WVIAC Freshman of the Year Rachel Ritchey.

In his first season at Wesleyan Holguin went 12-4-2 and won the regular season and WVIAC tournament championships. His first season saw five first-team All-WVIAC performers along with one first team All-Atlatantic Region performer in Meghan Zayas.

Holguin is a native of Houston, Texas and resides in Weston, WV.
