Tennis Lady 'Cats Fall Twice Over the Weekend

MERCYHURST (Pa.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team dropped a pair of regional matches over the weekend.

The fell by an 8-1 score to Edinboro on Saturday and then lost a 9-0 decision to Mercyhurst on Sunday.

The two losses left the Lady Bobcats with a 7-6 record.

The lone win over the weekend went to Paula Pimenta at No. 1 singles when she defeated Edinboro's Julia Hellstern – 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.

Wesleyan will return to the courts this Wednesday against Salem International.

The contest will start at 3:30 p.m.
