Tennis Lady Bobcats Have Easy Time With Salem

SALEM – The West Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team had an easy go of it in a non-conference clash with the Salem International Lady Tigers Wednesday afternoon with a 9-0 victory.

The Lady Bobcats only lost five sets throughout the match.

Earning doubles wins were Paula Pimenta and Sarah Cameron at No. 1, Mariona Junyer and Kasumi Hayashi (pictured) at No. 2 and Samantha Smith and Julia Uchoa at No. 3

Getting singles wins were Pimenta at No. 1, Junyer at No. 2, Uchoa at No. 3, Hayashi at No. 4, Cameron at No. 5 and Smith at No. 6

The win improved Wesleyan to 8-6 overall.

Salem International fell to 3-13.

The Lady Bobcats will return to action this Monday at Bluefield State College for an 11 a.m. start.
