Lady Bobcats Fall to Bluefield State College, 7-2

BLUEFIELD – The West Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 non-conference decision to Bluefield State College here Monday afternoon.

The women are now 8-7 with the loss.

Despite the score, the Lady Bobcats were within one game in each of the three doubles matches before losing and split sets in the singles matches indicating a much closer match than the final score indicates.

Earning the singles wins were Paula Pimenta at No. 1 and Julia Uchoa at No. 4.

The Lady 'Cats will wrap up their spring season this weekend.

They will face Shaw on Saturday at Bluefield State College and then will meet the University of Charleston on Sunday.
