'Cats, Lady 'Cats Ranked Second Regionally in First Poll

BUCKHANNON – Prior to hosting the Bobcat Classic on Friday, the first set of USTFCCCA rankings were released and the West Virginia Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams were in a good spot.

Both the men's and women's teams were ranked second in the Atlantic Region.

On the men's side, Wesleyan is joined by Mountain East Conference rivals Charleston (fourth), Concord (sixth) and Notre Dame (10th).

On the women's side, the Lady Bobcats are the only MEC squad ranked regionally.

Nationally, the Bobcats are ranked 61st while the Lady Bobcats are 38th.

Both teams are back in action this week at the Bethany Invitational on Saturday, April 1.
