Cvechko Breaks Own School Record Heptathlon

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- West Virginia Wesleyan senior Lauren Cvechko broke her own school record in the heptathlon over the weekend in the prestigious Tennessee Relays.

The reigning Mountain East Conference MVP, posted a two-day score of 5012 points, topping her old record of 4749.

She was the second highest placing college heptathlete in the event, falling just short of Vanderbilt's Sarah Goodale who scored 5199.

Cvechko is currently sitting eighth in the nation in the this event.

During the competition, she set several personal bests, including a 14.53 time in the high hurdles that also set a school record, breaking the 19-year old record ot Bobcat legend Meg Delano.
