Comparini, Pattyn Earn First Team All-WVIAC Honors

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan senior libero Renata Comparini and junior setter Casey Pattyn were voted to the All-WVIAC first team by the league's coaches.

Comparini played in 28 matches in 2012 with team highs in digs (433) and service aces (45). The Santiago, Chile native also had seven kills and 29 assists for the season.

Pattyn played in all 30 matches, recording 863 assists, 168 digs, 25 service aces and 24 kills during the 2012 campaign.

Erin Bond earned All-WVIAC honorable mention. The Macungie, Pa. native tallied 301 kills, 27 service aces, 59 block assists, 23 block solos, 34 digs and 13 assists.

Wheeling Jesuit's Jenna Pew was named the league's Player of the Year. Seton Hill rookie Shelby Kyllo nabbed Freshman of the Year Honors, while UPJ's Linda Renzi picked up Coach of the Year recognition.
