Wesleyan Women Sweep First Two

Buckhannon,W.Va. --  The Wesleyan Women swept their first two conference matches of the season this past Friday evening and Saturday monrning.  Friday evening, the Bobcats faced off with the Blue Nights of Urbana then less than fifteen hours later they would entertain the Notre Dame Falcons to kick off Parents Weekend 2013.

In the nightcap, the Bobcats were able to capitalize on some fierce serving by Aspen Weber claiming the 3-0 victory.  The Lady 'Cats neutralized several attacks by the Falcons, sustaining any run that they would attempt.  In the end, Wesleyan simply overpowered the Falcons and ended the evening with a 1-0 record to start off conference play.

The morning tilt would prove more of the same for the Bobcats.  With gametime slated for 11am the theme for the Lady Bobcats would prove to be "early and often" coming out of the gates controlling the pace and dominating above the net.  With beautiful passing from setters Paulina Nottingham and Casey Pattyn and powerful attacks, the Bobcats would claim another 3-0 vicotry against a MEC foe.  

With the two victories, the Wesleyan Volleyball team starts off their MEC season 2-0.  They will return to action Tuesday evening at 7pm vs. Seton Hill.
