Wheeling, W.Va. -- Volleyball's dream of being conference champions were shattered when they lost in the quarter finals to the Shepherd Rams 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 19-25, 19-25) Thursday evening.

The Bobcats who finished regular season as the 4th seed were paired up against 5th seed Shepherd Rams. Wesleyan started strongly taking the first game 25-22, but was unable to capitalize in the preceding games losing the next three.

Erin Bond and Samantha Swann led the Bobcats in attack recording 13 kills apiece and Camblin Leonard wasn't' far behind them having 9 kills. Leonard had a total of 6 blocks while Bond and Swann had the same amount again with 3 each.  As a team the 'Cats had 51 kills and 9 blocks to the Ram's 50 kills and 9 blocks.

Casey Pattyn accumulated 30 assists and Aspen Weber was the dig leader for Wesleyan with 20.

This loss means the Bobcat's finish their season with a 14-17 record and say goodbye to seniors Korin Wengryn, Jillian Teubert, Camblin Leonard, Casey Pattyn and Colleen Black.
