Wesleyan Wins Fifth in Row With A Sweep of W. V. State

BUCKHANNON -- Following a rough start to the season that saw the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats go 1-7, they are now the hottest team in the Mountain East Conference.

Head coach Jackie Hinton's volleyball team won their fifth contest in a row easily downing the West Virginia State Lady Yellow Jackets in straight sets, 3-0.

Wesleyan won by scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-20.

The victory put Wesleyan at 6-7 overall and 5-3 in the MEC.

Wesleyan has shot all the way up to fifth place in the league and is now just two full games behind conference leader Wheeling Jesuit.

West Virginia State fell to 4-12 overall and 2-5 in the MEC.

Wesleyan will wrap up their five-game homestand this Friday when they host West Liberty at 7 p.m
