Volleyball Team Blanks Davis & Elkins, 3-0

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team ran their winning streak to four games after a 3-0 sweep over Davis & Elkins in a non-conference clash today at Rockefeller Center.

It was the first home win for first-year head coach Ashley Ziegle.

"It's nice to get that first win at home," Ziegle remarked. "I don't think we played particularly well, but it's still nice to get the win in front of a nice home crowd. Hopefully it's the first of many.

West Virginia Wesleyan was pushed to the limit in each set, but held off Davis & Elkins -- 25-21, 25-23, 25-23.

Stacie Baumann paced the team in kills with 10 while Paulina Nottingham led the team with 16 assists.

Katlyn Hoge led the team with 18 digs.

Wesleyan will have a short time to enjoy the win as they will host Salem International Saturday at 3 p.m.
