Volleyball Team Picked Eighth In MEC Preseason Poll
BRIDGEPORT -- Defending NCAA champion Wheeling Jesuit has been picked by the volleyball coaches in the Mountain East Conference to win a fourth-straight conference title.  

The Cardinals finished atop the poll with 121 points and a maximum of 11 first-place votes. WJU, which will enter the season ranked No. 2 in the country, returns starters Kayce Krucki, Haley Kindall, Andrea Thobe, Lauran Graves and Emma Schleucher from last year's squad that finished 38-4 and won the NCAA title.

Fairmont State was slotted second with 107 points and one first-place vote. Charleston (90) was tabbed third, followed by UVa-Wise (82), Shepherd (81), West Liberty (78) and Urbana (72). West Virginia Wesleyan was picked eighth with 46 points, and Concord (45), Notre Dame (36), West Virginia State (23) and Glenville State (11) rounded out the poll.
