Jackie Murphy just wrapped up her third season at the helm of the West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team. She has compiled a 45-44 overall record and 27-15 in West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches.

Murphy has seen steady improvement in the win column over her first three seasons on the bench in Buckhannon, in 2009 the team won 11 games, in 2010 the team recorded 13 victories and in 2011, Murphy led the program to a 21-11 mark overall and a 10-4 record in league play. She has coached a four of second team all-league performers in Jessica Pattyn (twice), Paula Renteria, Renata Comparini and current graduate assistant coach Blake Samuell.

The Richmond, Va. native was a member of the Wesleyan volleyball team from 2002-05, and was a four year leterwinner. She earned first team All-WVIAC honors as a junior, was named to the second team both her sophomore and senior seasons and was a three-time all-tournament team selection.   

Murphy graduated from WVWC in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and received her Master's in Business Administration in 2008 while serving as a graduate assistant on the volleyball team. She spent one year at Radford as an assistant coach before returning to her alma mater. She is engaged to Rob Hinton, the couple planning to be married in the summer of 2013.
